What do map colors mean in Project Zomboid? ›

Black - are industrial venues, like storage lots, construction sites or factories. Blue are social infrastructure, like schools, police stations etc. Yellow are commercial. Shops, and stuff.

Turns out they're purple and I've no clue how to actually use them. You either have a gas can on you, right click on a pump and select fill gas can or you pull your vehicle up to the pump, right click and select fill from pump.

West Point - Hardest Starting Point

Well, West Point is the perfect location for you to begin a new life constantly in danger, but it comes with a lot of valuable yields in return. West Point is the hardest starting map in the game, and it offers more precious loot and high-tier equipment to find.

The typical colour standard for topographical maps depicts contours in brown, bodies of water in blue, boundaries in black and grids and roads in red. Topographich maps may use different colours to represent area features. Physical maps commonly use colour most dramatically to show changes in elevation.

Rosewood is probably the easiest starting location in the game as its small size and rural location guarantee a low zombie population. There are a few isolated farmhouses outside the town that make good starting bases, and a construction site in the south-west that's a great spot to find building supplies.

The river can be crossed by building wooden floors over it, or with debug mode, by either teleporting or enabling 'no clip'. However, there is currently nothing but plains and trees on the other side.

To conclude, Muldraugh is the best place to spawn in Project Zomboid, but it takes a truly experienced survivor to utilize all of its strengths. When it comes to beginners, it's best that they use a more beginner-friendly spawn with more obvious advantages, like Riverside.

Unlike the M1911 Pistol, the M36 can't jam. It also doesn't require magazines but has a slow reload time. This pistol is also the quietest firearm in the game, so to speak. Its noise radius is only 30 tiles, compared to the 70-tile sound of the D-E Pistol.

Are axes rare in Project Zomboid? ›

Axes are quite rare in the game, but are found most often in storage crates, which are usually in warehouses and storage facilities. The hardware store in West Point and Riverside are a very good place to pick up a few axes and other useful tools relatively early in the game.
